Taking Care of your silverware flatware.

1. 1 cup of boiling water.
2. Whisk in 2 tablespoons of baking soda and 2 tablespoons of salt.
3. Use a soft polishing cloth to clean and polish.
4. Rinse and dry with a soft towel.
This method will not get your silverware that shiny.
However, if you have a special occasion, and would like your silverware to look like new, I would recommend the following:
1. Try to purchase a tarnish remover paste for silver/silver-plated. They usually come with the applicator or soft sponge.
2. Do not hard rub or buff, and specially do not use dish cleaning sponge, this will irreversibly damage and scratch the surface of your silver-plated.
3. Just dampen the applicator with a little of cold water to make a sort of a foam and start to softly rub onto your silver-plated piece.
4. Rinse under a stream of cold water, using dish soap.
5. Wash away all the soapy water, by running enough cold water through.
6. Place the silver-plated on top of a paper towel to air dry it.
7. Lightly polish with a soft dry cloth for a gleaming finish.
8. When it is completely dried, gently polish with a soft dry jewelry polishing cloth.
9. Try to keep your silver-plated items clean and free of wax or oils, food debris, specially boiled eggs. They will tarnish faster.
